The watercolor painting at right is of Mazin Qumseyah, Palestinian-born geneticist and professor who formerly taught at Duke University and has returned to his home village of Beit Sahour in the West Bank, where he is opening the Palestine Museum of Natural History of Bethlehem University.  When Debra painted in Palestine last year, Mazin gave her much direction and, as he educated her about the unjust occupation of his home, escorted her to some wonderful locations to make paintings.  20% of the sales from this show in Washington DC in January-February 2015 were donated towards the operations of the new Palestine Museum of Natural History.
